New Place, New Life, New Clients!

For those of you who don't know, Robert and I relocated to southern California at the beginning of August. Robert will be starting his post-bac pre medical program next week and after that life is going to get crazy! I am missing all things photography related, but I promised myself (and my marriage) I would not start advertising or taking new clients until September, after Robert is in full-swing with school. Right now we are just enjoying the time we have to spend together, settling in and enjoying our new place. This explains the lack of blogging this month...

However, I do have one engagement session to share in the next week, so stay tuned. AND, any tips or suggestions for successful advertising in a new town are greatly appreciated ;-)

Meet the Brooks!

I had to post a few pictures of this family for 2 reasons:

1. Robert and I came to know and love this family when we lived in Davis. We have watched these kids grow over the last 4 years and will miss them dearly! They are some of the craziest kids we have ever known - in the best of ways :-) They certainly know how to have fun!
2. I have been dying to give a little preview of what's next for me in my "budding" business (hint: photo watermark)....Can't wait to show you all the rest!

Meet the Belows!

Meet Rich, Liz and Katie! Katie turned 1 (!!) back in June and is just too cute. We met up in Walnut Park and Katie had a great time on the playground - especially the swings! Liz came totally prepared complete with cheerios (in case of a fussy baby) and a red rocking moose (excellent prop), which made my job easy!

Belows, you are such a sweet family - I hope you find some pictures you love and can cherish as Katie gets older.

By the way, if you haven't heard Liz sing or Rich play the piano you are missing out. Little Katie is destined to be an amazing musician!! :-)

meet the hollemans!

Meet Mary, Sean & Oliver! We got together last week to take do some family photos with their newest addition, Oliver. When I asked Mary if she had a preference as to where we took the photos, she mentioned the Olive Grove off of Russell here in Davis. When she and Sean were dating, this is where they had their first kiss...and Oliver got his name :-) I love a little symbolism!

Mary and Sean (and Oliver!), we had a blast with you guys. I hope you find some pictures you can cherish as Oliver gets older. Enjoy!
